Women Leading Change This workshop will explore women's transformational leadership and its necessity, perhaps more than ever, at this point in time. Transformational leadership is defined as a leadership approach that creates valuable and positive change in the followers with the end goal of developing followers into leaders. Countless individuals, programs, and scholars have recognized that this is essential and effective in creating lasting change with women creating the best results time and time again. We will delve into women's transformational leadership and discover, or refine, what we will need to move forward with our personal dream for change or, perhaps, become inspired to have one. Kate Siner Frances My life is partly characterized by travel, creativity, and determination. Born with an artistic temperament and a love of the unknown and then a single parent throughout my twenties, I learned to maintain and develop my passion while doing the laundry and making a living. I believe these experiences are reflected in my work which is both expansive and pragmatic and have solidified my desire to help others in difficult circumstances. After a significant amount of time studying, traveling, and doing my own growth work, I began practicing integrative psychotherapy and holistic success coaching in the Providence area through my practice Larger Visions. During this time I completed my PhD in psychology --with an emphasis on non-linear ways of knowing-- as well as a certification in Expressive Arts. During the last 3 years, I worked as director of Alisa Starkweather's Priestess Path --a women's empowerment program and mystery school. And, this Fall I will be launching a Women's Leadership Training created to provide women with the tools they need to help women both globally and locally. |
